Subject	Ball joint assembly removal is at a standstill. Suggestions?

Message	I'm currently following sawbonez' FAQ on removing the ball joint assemblies from the rear toe arms. Those suckers just won't budge, and this is with the subframe off of the car! Plus I'm having problems keeping the c-clamp from spinning off the pipe end-cap as sawbonez illustrated. Any suggestions/advice would be very helpful.
